Sometimes in life we may find ourselves struggling with challenging experiences or emotional distress, finding it hard to cope with or resolve alone. During these times we may need some help to work through and make sense of what we are experiencing. The emotions we feel may be related to current life issues, but they can also be deep-rooted issues from our past, or worries and fears about the future. By talking about our thoughts and feelings we may find new ways of coping and gain new perspectives.

My name is Louise Birdja. I am a professionally qualified Counsellor and a registered member with the BACP (British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy). I have developed my practice working in various settings with adults, children and young people. I provide face to face sessions from a comfortable counselling room in Chester City Centre. Alternatively I also offer remote sessions (online or telephone).
Every client is unique which means that one approach does not suit all clients in all situations. Therefore, as an Integrative Therapist, I draw on various models of therapy to meet the specific needs of the people I work with. The model of therapy I use is under-pinned by the Person-Centred approach, incorporating CBT or Psychodynamic therapy as and when appropriate.
I will work alongside you to help you explore your own thoughts, feelings and behaviour, supporting you in developing your strengths. I will tailor the sessions to best meet your unique and specific needs. I also offer creative approaches to therapy to explore self-expression and self-discovery or help unravel difficult emotions.
It takes courage to seek out help and to take the first steps towards change. I am here to support you on that journey and offer you a place where you can feel heard and understood.
